The Challenge
Stuttgart Airport wanted to see how passengers use its commercial area: how many pass each store, how many go in, how long they stay, and how they move between stores and areas.
The Solution
Since May 2026, Ariadne has measured about 1,800 square meters of the terminal's ground floor. Time-of-Flight sensors count entries, and signal sensing follows movement between areas. The dashboard reports passers-by and visitors per store and area, dwell time, and the most common flows between them, as figures and as heatmaps, in real time.
The Impact
The airport's commercial team works from live, measured passenger behavior in the retail area instead of estimates.
