The Challenge
Bad Nauheim's visitors split their time between the Kurpark and the shopping streets, and the town runs a full calendar of events in both. To plan those events and support its retailers, the town needed to know how people actually use the park and the center, day by day.
The Solution
Since summer 2024, 28 Ariadne measuring points have covered the Kurpark, from the great pond to the Sprudelhof and the park entrances, alongside the central shopping streets around Hauptstrasse. The town receives continuous frequency data plus event reports that compare event days against normal ones.
The Impact
Event reporting turned the Art and Garden Market from a gut feeling into numbers: how many came, when the peak hit, and how much of the park crowd carried over into the shopping streets. At the April 2025 market, the busiest park zone reached 1,400 visitors by early afternoon, and the main shopping street peaked at around 500 visitors per hour.
