The Challenge
Budapest Airport was looking for a retail footfall system: passers-by and visitors per store and area, dwell time, queuing time, and queue length.
The Solution
Under a signed cooperation agreement, Ariadne ran a proof of concept. Ariadne's engineers planned device positions on the floor plans, checked them on site, defined the areas of interest with the airport's team, and benchmarked accuracy before data collection began. Ariadne then measured about 1,600 square meters across two levels from July to August 2024.
The Impact
The airport's team had two months of measured footfall, dwell, and queue data for its retail areas, collected on the airport's own floor plans.
